• West of Sedona, Arizona, extending for over 25 miles from the Colorado Plateau in the northwestern corner of the Verde Valley is what Arizonians refer to as the Little Grand Canyon. A place of pristine beauty, flowing springs, and lush vegetation, one of the special places we go for nature hikes and nature integration work . This is one of the most beautiful places in Arizona! Over thirty Bald and Golden Eagles winter in this region as well as geese, great blue heron, and ducks.

We'll descend the mountain and pass the twelfth century hill top pueblo called Tuzigoot and several small cliff dwellings perched high above the Verde River.

When we reach the mouth of Sycamore Canyon there will be a short hike down to Sycamore Creek. Towering red rocks, springs bubbling from the ground, lush patches of green grass and water cress. This is a place of great spiritual power that few visitors to the area experience. As with all our tours, we'll be talking about everything from geology to ethnobotany.
